- Harass, abuse, or “troll” other members.
- Post defamatory, obscene, or illegal material.
- Use the community to “spam” or promote external commercial products without permission.
- “Type” other individuals in a way that is unsolicited or harmful (adhering to Enneagram ethical standards).
EAANZ reserves the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.
Community Code of Conduct
The EAANZ online community is a space for self-discovery, growth, and mutual support. By participating in our forums, groups, or events, you agree to uphold the following standards:
6.1 The Principle of Self-Identification
The Enneagram is a tool for self-observation. We respect that only the individual can truly determine their own Enneagram type.
- Do: Offer insights and share how the types manifest in your own life.
- Don’t: “Type” other members or insist you know their type better than they do. Avoid using the Enneagram to label, box in, or dismiss others.
6.2 Respect and Psychological Safety
We celebrate the diversity of the nine points of the Enneagram.
- No Harassment: We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Constructive Dialogue: If you disagree with someone, address the idea, not the person. Use “I” statements to share your experience rather than making “You” statements about others.
6.3 Confidentiality and Privacy
The Enneagram often involves sharing personal and vulnerable experiences.
- Internal Stays Internal: Do not share, screenshot, or distribute stories or personal details shared by other members outside of the EAANZ community platform without their express written consent.
- Respect Boundaries: Do not “cold message” or contact other members for commercial or personal reasons outside of the community platform unless you have established a mutual relationship.
6.4 Non-Commercial Content & Spam
The community is for education and connection, not unsolicited sales.
- Unless specifically authorized by the EAANZ Committee (e.g., in a designated “Services” thread), members may not promote their own coaching services, workshops, or products.
- Spam, affiliate links, and repetitive self-promotion will be removed.
6.5 Enforcement & Reporting
We want this to be a flourishing environment. To ensure this:
- Moderation: EAANZ reserves the right to hide, edit, or delete posts that violate this Code of Conduct.
- Reporting: If you see something that concerns you, please report it to the moderators or email secretary@enneagramaanz.org.au.
- Consequences: Violations may result in a formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community (without refund for paid memberships) at the sole discretion of the EAANZ Committee.
7. Disclaimers (Important)
- Educational Purpose: The information provided by EAANZ is for educational and personal growth purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, or clinical advice or therapy.
- “As Is” Basis: The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law in Australia and New Zealand, EAANZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Site or our community platforms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in those regions.
